Hardeeville Mutual aid Fire


Dec 21, 2011 – Around 3:00am, Engine 324 and Truck 375 were dispatched for mutual aid in Hardeeville. Hardeeville Fire Dept was on scene with a working fire in a commercial structure that was attached to another. 302 (Deputy Chief Thompson) responded as the Staff Duty Officer. Upon arrival Engine 324 was assigned to help with fire attack and 302 was assigned as the Safety Officer. The Crew from the Truck was assigned, to the attached structure, to open up and check for extension. Due the insufficient water supply, the fire quickly spread through both structures. The Engine and Truck remained on scene for approx 3 hours. The fire is being investigated by SLED.
Structure Fire in Pine Ridge
November 16, 2011 – The Bluffton Township Fire District was dispatched around 4:00am to a reported structure fire on Heather Glenn Drive. Early information from dispatch was smoke and flames showing. 302 (Deputy Chief Thompson) arrived on scene first and confirmed a working fire involving a vehicle and the garage area of the residents. It took crews approximately 40 minutes to bring the fire under control. The fire is being investigated by the Bluffton Township Fire District and the Town of Bluffton Police Department.
