Bluffton, SC — The Bluffton Township Fire District is hosting a free child passenger safety seat check event on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Station 38, located at 260 Raider Drive, Bluffton, SC. The station is conveniently located off Hampton Parkway, behind River Ridge Academy. This event is part of the national Child Safety Seat Check Day and is open to the public.
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians from the Bluffton Township Fire District, along with other local partners including Coastal Carolina Medical Center, will be on-site to assist families in ensuring their child safety seats are correctly installed and suitable for their child’s age, weight, and height. Attendees will receive personalized education on proper child transportation safety, and each check is expected to take about 30 minutes.

This event is in collaboration with local partners, including Coastal Carolina Medical Center, Jasper County Fire Rescue, the South Carolina Department of Public Health Child Passenger Safety Program, Safe Kids International, and the City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department.
