Devoted to Duty Above Personal Risk
Request a Bluffton Township Fire District Patch
Our shield-shaped patch frames a traditional red Maltese cross – an emblem of service and protection. At the center, a live oak stands on a bluff above the picturesque May River, reflecting the historic oaks and Lowcountry landscape that define our community. Encircling the scene is our motto, “Devoted to Duty Above Personal Risk.” The cross arms display classic fire service symbols: a flathead axe (fire suppression), paired speaking trumpets (leadership/command), and the Star of Life with “S.C.,” highlighting our emergency medical role and South Carolina roots. “Bluffton Township Fire Dist.” identifies the special-purpose district we serve.
