Bluffton, SC – (March 14, 2025) – The Bluffton Township Fire District held its annual Award Ceremony on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Hampton Hall Clubhouse to honor the dedication and accomplishments of its personnel throughout 2024. The event celebrated the outstanding service, professionalism, and heroism displayed by members of the Fire District.

During the ceremony, several individuals were recognized for their exceptional contributions:

Recognition from the American Legion
In addition to presenting their annual Firefighter of the Year award, the American Legion Dennis J. Becker Post 205 recognized the Fire District’s ongoing support with a Certificate of Appreciation. Interim Fire Chief Derek Church accepted the award on behalf of the Fire District, highlighting the strong partnership between local veterans and first responders.
A Night of Gratitude and Celebration
The ceremony served as a reminder of the unwavering dedication of Bluffton Township Fire District personnel and their commitment to protecting the community. Interim Fire Chief Derek Church commended all award recipients, stating, “The men and women of our Fire District demonstrate courage, professionalism, and service every day.
