Aluminum Can Recycling

Recycle your aluminum cans at BTFD and help support the MUSC Burned Children’s Fund.

Your Questions, Our Commitment

Stay Connected with Your Fire District

The Bluffton Township Fire District proudly participates in aluminum can recycling to benefit a cause close to our hearts. We maintain two dedicated recycling trailers and invite the community to drop off aluminum beverage cans only (please, no steel cans or food containers).

While rinsing and crushing cans is not required, it is greatly appreciated. Clean, bagged cans make collection and transport to the recycling center easier for our team.

All proceeds from can donations go directly to the Burned Children’s Fund at MUSC Children’s Hospital, a program originally established in 1986 by South Carolina’s firefighters and MUSC to support pediatric burn survivors and their families during recovery.

Drop-Off Locations:

Cans can be dropped off at either location anytime. Look for the clearly marked recycling trailers near the front of each station. Thank you for helping support burn survivors and their families!
