Station 31 is home to Engine 331 and a Beaufort County EMS unit, serving a key role in protecting the surrounding community with both fire suppression and emergency medical services. The station began operations at its current location in October 2021, following years of service at its previous site—now repurposed as the District’s Administrative Annex on May River Road.
Construction on the new station began with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 4, 2020, and the facility was granted its certificate of occupancy on September 8, 2021. The modern structure encompasses a total of 8,088 square feet, thoughtfully divided between 4,109 square feet of living quarters and a 3,979-square-foot apparatus bay. Built at a cost of $3,585,813, Station 31 was designed to improve operational efficiency, enhance the living and working environment for personnel, and meet the growing needs of the community it serves.
Strategically located to ensure rapid response, Station 31 represents a continued investment in the safety, resilience, and service capabilities of the Bluffton Township Fire District.
