Bluffton Firefighter Explorers Post #241

Preparing the Next Generation of Fire Service Leaders

Firefighter Explorers Post #241

Training Tomorrow’s Firefighters, Today

The Bluffton Firefighter Explorer Program is a dynamic opportunity for young men and women, ages 14 to 20, to explore a future in the fire service. This program provides discipline and structure while teaching respect, teamwork and hands-on skills to give participants a firsthand look at what it takes to become a firefighter.

Program Affiliation

Bluffton’s Explorer Post #241, established in 2014 in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, introduces young adults to career opportunities in Emergency Services and provides mentorship within the Bluffton Township Fire District. During drill nights, members gain hands-on training, leadership development, and real-world emergency services experience. The Post also partners with the Bluffton High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) Firefighter Program to offer additional training and a local testing site. Participation in the CTE program is not required to join the Post.
