BLUFFTON, S.C. (April 28, 2026) – Five Beaufort County public safety agencies will gather at the Bluffton Township Fire District Training Center on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a multi-agency recruiting open house. The event is free, requires no registration, and is open to anyone interested in a career in public safety.
Attendees can speak directly with recruiters and personnel from each participating agency to learn about career paths, current job openings, hiring requirements and timelines, and training and advancement opportunities. The event covers careers in fire, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and corrections.
Participating agencies include:
- Bluffton Township Fire District
- Town of Bluffton Police Department
- Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
- Beaufort County EMS
- Beaufort County Detention Center
The Fire District is recruiting additional personnel in preparation for the opening of Station 39, which will serve the Sun City community. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2027.
