Car Seat Safety Checks

Bluffton Township Fire District participates in the National Child Passenger Safety Certification program provided by SafeKids Worldwide and the South Carolina DHEC (See links below). The goal of this program is to help parents and guardians protect children as they ride in a vehicle.

Our Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians check the installation of car seats, provide tips & recommendations for safe child transport, and give an opportunity for caregivers to ask questions about best practices for their child's car seat.

This service is offered FREE of charge at one of our three inspections stations. Inspections are available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. As much as we would love to offer walk-up service, we are unable to do so as inspections may only be conducted by certified technicians. Scheduling ensures a certified technician is available on the date you request.

To get your car seat inspected by a certified Child Passenger Safety technician, please request an appointment using the form link below. Your appointment will require approximately 30 minutes to complete.
